For your information : When travelling overland to your booked accommodation on an island without its own airport, make sure that boat and train schedules match with each other. If you travel overland by own car, it is very important to arrive at the boat pier in time in order to catch the boat. Various islands offer limited boat transfer from and to the mainland, especially when traveling in the early morning / late evening. It is highly recommendable to add extra time to your planned travel plan.

Your accommodations will be one of 15 simple if tastefully decorated one or two bedroom wood bungalows, either close to the beach or at the foot of the jungle covered hill. The cabins offer lots of privacy, and command a breathtaking view of the turquoise-colored ocean, the white beach leading down to it, or the island?s tropical landscaping. Between about 6:00 pm and least 11:00 pm, power is supplied to the bungalows. This means, there is neither ?air con??, nor are there ?hot showers?. We place great emphasis on nature and environment.
Aside from the beach front, you have the spell-binding tropical scenery inland. Love to go snorkeling. The fascinating underwater world around the islands shore will take your breath away. Naturally, you will have your own lounge chair and umbrella to ensure a carefree and relaxing time on the beach.

Koh Rayang is one of 50 islands in the maritime national park surrounding the island of Koh Chang-truly a haven for the nature-loving traveler. Rayang island Resort, the only complex located on the island, opened for the tourist business in October 2006.
Rayang Island itself has the shape of a resting elephant and covers an area of just 12000m2. Look for ward to marvelously white sandy beaches, Palm trees, fascinating rock formations, and crystal-clear, turquoise waters. There are neither, and car or motorcycles on the island, leaving traffic noise and stress off ? shore small wonder that several commercials with a South Sea setting have been filmed here.
There is a regular shuttle boat transfer (several times a day) between the islands of Koh Mak and Koh Rayang.
Restaurant: The romantic open-air restaurant will spoil you with authentic Thai cuisine or western specialties. Scenic sunsets are the perfect time and setting for kicking back and enjoying a freshly blended cocktail or tropical shakes. Whatever you fancy. Fish and other seafood, caught the same day, will be served fresh off the grill. A alternatively, a ten minute shuttle boat transfer will take you to other restaurants on the neighboring island of Koh Mak. There, you will have a terrific view ?your? island, Koh Rayang, especially from the Good Times Café goodtime-resort
Spa & Recreation: A Thai massage will quickly make you forget the hustle and bustle back home, and put your inner self at ease. If you rather crave active recreation, we will be happy to book a trip to neighboring island or to the mainland (e.g. Chantaburi) for you. On Koh mak, the neighboring island just 1.5 km away, other recreational activities are available, such as mountain-biking, diving, windsurfing or moped excursions. You should definitely explore the wonders of this little island paradise, too! Actually, you may not want to leave again.
There is also the option to go on diving or snorkeling expeditions directly from Rayang Island. A kayak will take your over to Koh mak in no time at all, or you can join one of the guided kayak tours.
By plane: With Bangkok Air in 45 minutes to Trat (approx. ? 55.00), from there 25 km by taxi to Laem Ngop Pier. From there 35 km by speedboat to the island. Pick-up service at Trat Airport (? 35.00 p.p.).
Bus: From the Bangkok bus terminal in about 5 hours to Trat (approx. ?7.00), from there by local taxi cab to Laem ngop Pier.
Taxi service (comfortable 4WD): Pickup from your hotel or at the airport (BKK). Comfortable transfer in about 4 hours to Laem Ngop Pier. From there by speedboat or motor catamaran to Koh Rayang (approx. ? 120.00/one way. 5 passengers max.). The boat transfer costs approx. ? 10.00 p.p.
All boats (Ferry, departing at 3:00 pm, travel time about 3 hours), speedboat and motor catamaran (travel time about 80 monutes) depart from Leam Ngop Pier. Starting December 2007, the new comfy motor catamaran, Nemo Express, (72 passengers) will be operating.
